A gorgeous Santa Fe Inspired Styled Shoot

One of the coolest new techniques that I have had the opportunity to learn this year has been gold leaf guilding. This is a process where real gold leaf is applied by hand, and it creates the most amazing, raw, organic texture... and it is soooooooo gorgeous! It's a bit of a labor of love, but the results are stunning.

When I was contacted by Maura of Maura Jane Photography, and Minuet Sandifer of Magnolia Event Company to design the stationery and coordinating paper goods for a styled shoot taking place in Santa Fe, with a turquoise and gold theme, I just KNEW I wanted to include this technique. They sent over a really rockin' pinterest board for inspiration and my mind instantly went to work and conceived of these invitations, with a turquoise agate background, modern calligraphy, and of course the gold leaf.

The whole suite was printed on Cotton cardstock and then hand-foiled to create the raw, textured effect. Cotton is a great option for printing, especially for designs that you want to have a watercolor or organic feel to. Paired with jet black envel…

The paper goods suite for this shoot included Invitation, Response Card, Escort Cards and Menu Cards.

Every detail of this styled shoot was so lovingly planned, and so perfectly executed. The venue, The Inn of the Turquoise Bear, was the perfect backdrop for this lovely affair.

Who wants to have a little weekend getaway at this lovely place? I do! I do!

And then, there are the flowers... these gorgeous, flowing, pinterest-worthy flowers by Bloomstream Flowers in Santa Fe.

And the CAKE.... oh my gawd... the cake!!!! I am totally drooling over this beauty, I mean - do you see this???? American Pie Bakery in Santa Fe really outdid themselves. That gold center, with that pebble texture... I'm in love.

Turquoise & Gold Wedding Cake

Of course, it wouldn't be a styled shoot without a drop-dead gorgeous couple, and Amanda & Jeremy are picture perfect, glamour and grace, Modern Bride and GQ perfection! Every detail was so perfectly executed, from that oh-so dapper tux by Express to the romantic, flowing bridal gown by Bridal Elegance By Darlene, and those earrings, by Alexis Bittar - SPOT. ON.

The incredible hair styles were created by Luke of Chic Salon Albuquerque, and the bride's elegant and picture perfect makeup was done by MUA Betty Rose By Alanna.

There are so many details that I could just pour over for hours, but I'll let you take a look for yourself, and let me know what you think!
